On January 18, the Chinese Consulate General in Chiang Mai held the Spring Festival Gala for Chinese students studying in Northern Thailand at the Graduate School of Chiang Mai University. Consul General Wu Zhiwu, Vice Consul General Yang Jiong, Professor Pongrak Sribanditmongkol, president of Chiang Mai University, Mr. Dr. Apichat Sopadang, dean of the Graduate School, and representatives of Chinese students from various universities in Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand attended the event.

Before the event, the Consulate General invited Chiang Mai Tourist Police to introduce information regarding safety and security while studying and living in Chiang Mai.
