On November 11, 2022, Consul General Wu Zhiwu attended the opening ceremony of the final round of the Third Zhongqing Cup“Internet Plus”for University Students Contest. Assoc.Prof. Pasit Lorterapong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation，Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, M.D, President of Chiang Mai University, Professor Wang Deqiang, President of Yunnan Normal University, Mr. Phisit Jintaviwat, Chairman of the Thai Chinese Business Association of Chiang Mai, and Ms Lian Chen Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at Chiang Mai University also attended the opening ceremony.

The Zhongqing Cup“Internet Plus”Contest is an annual competition conducted in Chinese language. The competition was initiated by the Consulate General of China in Chiangmai in 2020, aiming to promote innovation and entrepreneurship of Thai university students. A total of 22 teams 99 contestants from various universities across Thailand parcitipated in the contest this year. After the competition, the "Ji Shuai: Xiongdi" team from Chiang Rai Rajabhat University won the gold prize, and the "Ye Ming Zhu" team from Chiang Mai University and the "666 Niu Niu Niu" team from Chulalongkorn University won the silver prize.
