Consul General Attends the Giant Panda Lin Hui's 20th Birthday Celebration

September 28, 2021 is the 20th birthday of the giant panda Lin Hui residing in Chiang Mai. In the morning, Consul General Wu Zhiwu visited Chiang Mai Zoo to attend a birthday celebration for Lin Hui.

Accompanied by Mr. Wuttichai Muangman, director of Chiang Mai Zoo, Consul General Wu Zhiwu watched a short video about the giant panda cooperation project between China and Thailand. Everyone sang a birthday song for Lin Hui who enjoyed her "birthday meal" including apples, bamboo shoots, carrots and colorful ice balls.

Consul General Wu Zhiwu expressed that Lin Hui is an envoy of China-Thailand friendship and has brought a lot of joy and good memories for the people of Thailand and Chiang Mai. For pandemic prevention and control, the Chiang Mai Zoo has renovated the Panda House and built a more comfortable living environment for Lin Hui. Thanks to the staff of the zoo for their thorough care, and wish Lin Hui a happy life in Chiang Mai.

On September 16, Consul General Wu Zhiwu also participated in a memorial activity for the death of giant panda “Chuang Chuang”.
